Laura has been teaching yoga for over ten years and finds special joy in teaching slower-paced, introspective and healing practices. Her vision is to use her skills to create welcoming spaces for connection, inspiration, inner-peace and transformation. She loves hosting gatherings for crystal singing bowl healing and ecstatic dance.



Yoga has gifted me with thousands of hours of peace, introspection, challenge, growth, and liberation since I began practicing on my mat as a teenager. I started yoga to heal chronic back pain and stumbled upon the profound mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of the practice. This served me greatly during a very challenging time in my life. Now, over a decade later, my primary focus as a teacher is to create a welcoming and accepting space for you to breathe, connect, and release. Over the years, students have described my classes as incredibly relaxing, healing, and peaceful. This warms my heart.

I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 with Mugs McConnel through SOYA (South Okanagan Yoga Academy). The training sparked great passion, purpose, and perspective in my life. I started teaching in Antigonish at a local yoga studio and at St.FX University. Upon completing my degree in Business Marketing, I returned to Calgary, where I taught several yoga classes a week at a studio near my home. I also taught at schools, senior homes, recreation centers, healing centers, and businesses.

I had a desire to learn more about meditation, which led me to complete a six-month Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher Training with Deepak Chopra through the Chopra Center. This training opened my heart to the absolute magic and depth of life. Upon completion, I began hosting ‘Learn How to Meditate’ workshops. I also taught personal Primordial Sound Mantras for meditating with, based on birth date, time, and location. The main benefits are inner peace, stress relief, and healing from the past. I’ve greatly enjoyed my journey inwards and have noticed how much people love being guided to connect with themselves.

To expand my knowledge over the years, I’ve completed additional training in yin yoga, sequencing, adjustments, and pranayama (breathing techniques). My passion to hold space for healing and liberation has also led me to complete certifications in Emotion Code Energy Healing and Ecstatic Dance. I love bringing people together and creating unforgettable experiences. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending my time cooking, baking, gardening, reading fantasy books, and connecting with loved ones.

I completed my teacher training with Mugs McConnell through S.O.Y.A (South Okanagan Yoga Academy) in 2015 and have been teaching yoga ever since! I've completed additional trainings in yin yoga, adjusting and sequencing. Currently my favourite practices to teach are yin yoga and gentle-flow yoga. I teach a LIVE online yin yoga classes weekly on the app Insight Timer.

I completed my six month long meditation teacher training through the Chopra Center in 2018. I loved the knowledge, wisdom and practices so much that I wanted to stay in the training forever. Upon completion, I implemented a daily meditation practice and have been teaching workshops and classes ever since. I also teach personal mantras privately for meditating with!
